Soil: Prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH between 5.5 and 7.0) with organic matter for healthy growth. Climate: Grows best in temperate climates but can adapt to subtropical regions with care.   Types of Strawberry Plants: June-bearing: Produces a large crop once a year, typically in late spring to early summer. LET'S REJOICE AND BE MERRY
The Strawberry Festival

The festival of celebrating the gifts of nature - strawberries! This is a yearly event marking the start of summer by our enthusiastic Mapro team and talent from Panchgani. There are various stalls set-up displaying avant-garde edibles using one key ingredient - STRAWBERRIES.

Every year thousands of enthusiasts come around and join in on our celebration. We also have other entertainment activities such as folk dance performances, orchestra strumming, watercolour tattoos, mehndi stalls, and much more. Additionally, guests can head out for a strawberry-picking stroll at Mapro Gardens. This festival is generally organised around the month of March or April.

Story Of The Gardens
CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF LEGACY
Story Of The Gardens

It all started in 1959 in a small room in the village of Gureghar by a young visionary and pharmacist Kishore Vora, who decided to help local farmers by producing strawberry jams from the fresh produce of strawberries.

Eventually, in 1978, the brand Mapro was launched that slowly amplified into processed foods ranging from fruit syrups, jellies, and chocolates, to crushes, and many more. Today Mapro is a pioneer in food-based confectionery in the country and is known for its wholesome taste and quality infused with natural goodness and nutritive value.

In the 1980s the concept of Mapro Gardens emerged, which now is a popular tourist attraction where fun, food, family, and friends take centre stage. The concept of Mapro Gardens is different altogether, hence very quickly it became an iconic destination where we welcome our guests to check out the chocolate factory, a strawberry farm with a children’s play area on its campus, and many other attractions. The idea of giving a little extra to the farmers and customers is what grew Mapro from 2 to over 1000 employees.

We offer a captivating experience to the visitors that is etched onto their memory forever.
