Information:

Blue Snakeweed (Echium vulgare) is a species of flowering plant in the Boraginaceae family, native to Europe and western Asia. It is a herbaceous perennial plant, with blue flowers and narrow leaves, that grows up to 60 cm in height. It is commonly found in grasslands, roadsides and waste places, and is sometimes considered a weed. 

Uses:

Medicinal: The plant has been used for medicinal purposes, as an infusion of the leaves and stems is believed to have diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Forage: Blue snakeweed is an important food source for livestock, particularly in arid regions.

Pollinators: The plant's blue flowers are attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Soil stabilization: Blue snakeweed has deep roots that help stabilize soil and prevent erosion.
